Hi ya'll~~~
Today, I would like to share a Tteokbokki place I went with my date in Gangnam!
Instead of going to the Instant serving Tteokbokki place,
we went to on the spot cooking Tteokbokki place!
For Tteokbokki restaurants there are mainly two types!
One,
where they cook from the stand and serve it instantly on the plate
Two,
where they would bring the ingredients in a pot and put it on the
table heater in front of you on the spot
We went to the latter type of Tteokbokki place :)
I used to take illustration and photoshop classes nearby,
so this was the day when my date came over to see me during his day-off :)
Anyhow!!!
The place I would like to share is called,
Go-yang-i Boo-eok
"Goyangi" is cat in Korean
"Boo-eok" is kitchen
I am not sure why the place is called the "cat kitchen",
but the place was famous for Tteokbokki on the spot!
The thing we found
different from other Tteokbokki place was that they served
beansprout in the Tteokbokki!
This was my first time having Tteokbokki with beansprout!
The beansprout made the soup of the Tteokbokki to have
a deeper and more cool taste.
Personally, I think beansprout brought out more spicy flavor
of the Tteokbokki.
Since I am not good with the spice,
it was a little spicy for me but the spice was addicting.
So even though my mouth was burning, I could not
stop eating the food!
Lastly after the main dish,
my date and I decided to order rice to have it fried!
Having fried rice after the main course is just.. heavenly!
With a great finale of the fried rice with added cheese on top,
we had another marvelous meal today :)
The place is about 4 minutes walk from Gangnam station exit #10!
FYI,
I have also attached map below.
Feels great to share places where I had precious memories
Hope ya'll have sweet day
