Hi, ya'll~
The place I would like to share today is called,
Plate D
Plate D is well-known for their strawberry cake!
It is winter and strawberries are a seasonal fruit!
Strawberry is one of my favorite fruits!
Once I got to the cafe, I ordered signature strawberry cake and iced coffee!
The weather was very cold outside, but I couldn't resist ordering iced coffee :)
The pictures above is the pictures that I took on the way to the Plate D!
The signs and the sticker near the elevator button made it easier to find Plate D.
Here it was!
The entrance had many signs.
It had antique styled entrance but once you enter,
it had dim lightings and comforting atmosphere!
I wasn't able to take a picture of the interior because the tables were filled
with other guests :)
The place was not too large but it made it look much more cozy!
There were other cakes as well.
But as I mentioned above, I ordered the strawberry cake!
Now that I look at it once again through the picture, I would love to
try out the other cakes as well :)
From the sign above, Ttalgi means strawberry in Korean.
So the Ttalgi-Ttalgi cake is strawberry-strawberry cake :)
The pictures above is the menu of Plate D.
After ordering the strawberry cake,
I looked inside to see how it was layered.
Of course there were many strawberries outside.
The bread was not as soft as I imagined.
But the custard cream and cream spread in the cake was
very delicious.
Personally, it would have been a little disappointing
if it did not have delicious cream/custard cream in the cake.
As I put the cake in my mouth,
I felt a little disappointed because of the texture of the cake.
But the cream/custard cream did 95% of the cake!
And the strawberry added refreshing taste to the cake that the texture of the bread
did not really matter anymore!
Overall, the cake was very delicious!
Once I ordered my iced coffee and strawberry cake,
I received the vibrant bell. I took a seat and waited for my order to be ready :)
The cake was packaged in a pink, strawberry box.
One big mouthful of strawberry cake and a sip of iced coffee was
just so heavenly :)
Plate D is located about 11minutes away from Apgujeongrodeo Station exit#6
